On 31. March 2020, the Act on the so-called anti-crisis shield was introduced that includes special legal solutions for foreigners in Poland during the coronavirus outbreak. New regulations are to ease the legal situation in which foreigners may find themselves due to the epidemiological situation in our country. The Act provides, among others, an extension to the 30th day following the date of cancellation of the state of pandemia/epidemic emergency:
- legal stay of foreigners based on national visas and temporary residence permits, which validity would end during the period of pandemia/epidemic emergency,
- deadline for applying for the legalisation of stay,
- the validity of work permits, seasonal work permits and declarations of entrustment of work to a foreigner, which validity would end during the period of pandemia/epidemic emergency.
