Starting September 1, we are launching 'Bring On Documents' Desks (BOD) in Poznań - a new format for documents' submission point.
At BOD desks you can submit:
- documents requested in official letters you have received,
- documents required after receiving a notice before a decision is issued,
- new applications in all matters handled by the Department,
- additional documents needed for issuing permits (e.g. residence card fee confirmations, requests regarding address on a residence card, registration certificates),
- applications for:
- a duplicate of a decision,
- issuing a certificate,
- return of original documents,
- transfer of a case to the competent authority,
- discontinuation of proceedings,
- suspension of proceedings,
- change of residential or correspondence address,
- information about termination of employment / change of employer,
- appeals and complaints,
- granting or revoking a power of attorney,
- travel lists for EU school trips.
You can also:
- present your child’s valid travel document (passport), if they were under 6 years old on the day the legalization application was submitted,
- show a travel document in cases where fingerprinting is not required (e.g. residence registration, issuing a document confirming the right of permanent residence for EU citizens, Polish travel documents, Polish identity documents, visa extensions).
Rules of operation
- No electronic queueing system – you do not need to take a ticket to submit documents.
- We do not certify copies of documents as “true to the original” in cases where later personal appearance will be required.
- One person may submit documents for up to 5 cases during a single visit.
- We do not provide information about case status or procedures – please visit one of our information desks.
- We do not check documents for compliance with formal or evidentiary requirements – explanations can be found in the letter you received.
- We only accept documents listed in the BOD rules.
We do not accept submissions that require:
- personal appearance,
- fingerprinting,
- showing a passport (with exceptions listed above).
Submitting an application at a BOD desk does not replace mandatory personal appearance required by law. Personal appearance, fingerprinting, and showing the original passport are only possible during a reserved appointment via the case-status panel or on a scheduled date specified in your official letter.
We do not stamp passports to confirm the submission of a residence permit application. To get a stamp, you must book an appointment through the electronic queue system – line P: “passport stamp confirmation”.
Important!
To speed up case processing, please label all submitted documents with:
- applicant’s first name, last name,
- date of birth,
- type of application,
- and, if available, your case number in our system (e.g. Jan Kowalski, 19.01.2000, temporary residence, 1000/25).
Without this information, identifying your case may take longer and could delay updates or decisions.
