European EES System to Strengthen Security at Poland’s Borders

On Friday, October 18 of this year, our parliament passed a law on Poland's participation in the Entry/Exit System (EES). The primary aim of the EES is to enhance the security of European Union citizens, automate border checks, increase their efficiency, and improve the management of external borders.

Government work on the project concluded on October 8 of this year, with the Council of Ministers approving the project and forwarding it for parliamentary review. The Parliament unanimously adopted the proposed solutions.

The European Union will soon launch the Entry/Exit System (EES), an automated IT system that registers third-country nationals entering the European Union.

More information can be found in the Ministry of Interior and Administration's announcement.
