URGENT – System Restored

Changes in Asylum Law

As of March 27, 2025, an amendment to the Act on Granting Protection to Foreigners on the Territory of the Republic of Poland has come into force. Among other changes, it introduces a legal basis for temporarily restricting the right to apply for international protection. This restriction was already implemented by a regulation of the Council of Ministers dated March 27, 2025, based on Article 33a(5) of the Act of June 13, 2003, on Granting Protection to Foreigners in Poland (Journal of Laws of 2025, items 223 and 389).

We are gradually enabling the option to schedule appointments for identity verification, fingerprint collection, and passport presentation for applications submitted in December of last year. The appointment availability is based on the date your application was received.

Notice: Changes to Service Rules in Rooms A and B Starting 16.12.2024

We would like to inform you that beginning Monday, December 16, 2024, updated service procedures will take effect in Service Rooms A and B.

In Service Room A:

  • BOX 1-2 will handle the issuance of residence cards and other documents.
  • BOX 3-11 will manage reservations for personal appointments and fingerprint collection before receiving an official summons.

In Service Room B:

We are gradually rolling out the option to schedule in-person appointments for fingerprinting and passport presentation for applications submitted in October of this year.

The appointment calendar will become available based on the submission date of your application.

This applies to applications submitted at any of our locations.

Check your case status and book an appointment as soon as possible—there’s no need to wait for a notification!

European EES System to Strengthen Security at Poland’s Borders

On Friday, October 18 of this year, our parliament passed a law on Poland's participation in the Entry/Exit System (EES). The primary aim of the EES is to enhance the security of European Union citizens, automate border checks, increase their efficiency, and improve the management of external borders.

Government work on the project concluded on October 8 of this year, with the Council of Ministers approving the project and forwarding it for parliamentary review. The Parliament unanimously adopted the proposed solutions.

Starting next Tuesday, October 1st, there will be adjustments in the Service Rooms operation rules.

In Room A,  stations 1-11 will handle appointments for personal appearances and fingerprint submissions.

In Room B, the following stations will be designated:

  • 12-13: for collecting residence cards and other documents.
  • 14:  submission point
  • 15-16: information desk
  • 17: submission point (open from 11:45)

Please follow the signs posted on the doors, screens, and in the service rooms. Thank you for your cooperation :-)
