New academic year - updated documents

With the new academic year just around the corner, we wanted to give you a heads-up. If you've already applied but haven't heard back by the end of the current academic year, you'll need to send in some updated documents confirming:

Complete information regarding the temporary residence permit procedure is available HERE.

MS TEAMS information meeting

Also, we want to invite you to join an online info session for university students in Poland on September 26, 2023, at 9:00 am.

It'll help you get the hang of the process, what documents you'll need, and point out some common slip-ups people make during the procedure.

The meeting will be held in Polish and English. The application form and the full announcement on this topic is available HERE.

Information and advice point for students

We're also extending an invitation to all the full-time students and academic staff from every university in Poznań to visit our special information and advice desk.

Our desk is open every Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can find us at the Welcome Centre of Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznań (UAM), located at ul. św. Marcin 78 (corner of ul. Kościuszki).

During these hours, full-time students, as well as doctoral students and university faculty, can:

  • Set up an appointment to apply for temporary residence card.
  • Get the scoop on how to legalize their stay.
  • Get some help with filling out their applications.

The point was established in connection with the implementation of information and advisory activities under the project "Wielkopolska - Common Future", co-financed by the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, and will be open only until the end of December this year.

Studying? Read the UDSC Guide

Also, we recommend checking out the guide prepared by the Office for Foreigners, where you will find all sorts of useful info about how foreigners can legalize their stay while studying in Poland.

For universities, this resource can be especially handy. It covers things like admitting students involved in EU projects and those continuing their studies in Poland after starting in another EU country.
