To improve the availability of appointments for completing in-person attendance and fingerprints for applications submitted in ways other than in person, we are changing the booking rules starting from September 12th this year.
You can still complete your appearance, fingerprints, and passport presentation after scheduling an appointment on the case status tracking page.
The appointment calendar will be available once your case shows the status "awaiting appearance." This status means you can book your appointment and complete all missing documents without waiting for an official notice from the office.
If you don’t book an appointment yourself, later you’ll receive a letter with a designated appointment date. At this point, you won’t be able to choose the date.
Here’s how to book your appointment:
- Log in to the case status tracking page.
- Check if your case status is "awaiting attendance " and if the booking option is available.
- Review the Terms and Conditions.
- Choose your appointment date and time, provide your email address for confirmation, and click "Book Appointment."
- After booking, you’ll get a confirmation email, and the appointment details will also show up in the "booked appointments" section.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
- The appointment calendar is made available based on the order of received applications.
- The calendar will be open for 30 days. After that, it will be automatically locked.
- The appointment location will match where you submitted your application, and you can’t choose or change it. By selecting the default location in the "Queue" field, you accept the appointment location.
- You can only book an appointment once through the case tracking panel, so please choose your date and time carefully.
- If you miss your scheduled appointment, we’ll send you a letter with a designated appointment date to complete your appearance/fingerprints/original passport.
- If you don’t book an appointment within 30 days from when the calendar opens, we’ll send you an official letter with a designated appointment date to complete your appearance/fingerprints/original passport.
- After receiving a letter with a designated date the option to book an appointment won’t be available anymore. The date given in the letter will be visible on the tracking page under "booked appointments."
- The appointment location specified in the letter will match the current processing location of your application, and it cannot be chosen or changed.
- If you don’t show up on designated appointment date, your application will be left without further action.
