Please note that you should apply for a residence permit not later than on the last day of your legal stay.

If you do not plan to apply for residence permit in Poland, remember that you are oblige to leave Poland before your legal stay entitlement expires.

If you plan to come to Poland for more than 12 months, first you should apply for a Schengen visa or a national visa.

When should I apply?

You should apply for a temporary residence permit if you wish to stay in Poland for a period exceeding 3 months and your primary purpose of stay is work for a foreign employer who has posted you to work on the territory of the Republic of Poland.

You should apply for a residence permit in person before your current legal status expires (i.e. before your visa or residence card expires).
