Due to a nationwide system failure affecting the processing of foreign nationals' cases, there are difficulties in providing certain services at the Department for Foreigners of the Office of Wielkopolska Province in Poznan

Please be informed that, due to the system failure, fingerprint scans cannot be taken during visits to the Department. A follow-up appointment for this purpose will be scheduled during your previously arranged in-person visit for personal appearance or fingerprint completion.

Data: 01.04.2025Changes in Asylum Law

As of March 27, 2025, an amendment to the Act on Granting Protection to Foreigners on the Territory of the Republic of Poland has come into force. Among other changes, it introduces a legal basis for temporarily restricting the right to apply for international protection. This restriction was already implemented by a regulation of the Council of Ministers dated March 27, 2025, based on Article 33a(5) of the Act of June 13, 2003, on Granting Protection to Foreigners in Poland (Journal of Laws of 2025, items 223 and 389).

We are gradually enabling the option to schedule appointments for identity verification, fingerprint collection, and passport presentation for applications submitted in December of last year. The appointment availability is based on the date your application was received.

Fill out online application forms at MOS

(temporary and permanent residence permit)

MOS (Case handling Module) in 5 steps:

  • Go to mos.cudzoziemcy.gov.pl and create an account
  • Read the information and the list of the most common mistakes
  • Fill in the electronic application form
  • Print it out and sign
  • Send the application form together with other required documents by traditional post or present them in person during a scheduled appointment

If you have a UKR PESEL number, from 1st April 2023 send the application only by post!
