From 1 January 2026, most public offices in Poland use the modern e-Delivery (e-Doręczenia) system — a digital equivalent of traditional registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt. Thanks to this, communication with public administration is simpler, faster, and more convenient. Although it is not mandatory, setting up your own e-Delivery mailbox brings many practical benefits for you as a foreigner living in Poland.

Please be informed that on 1 December 2025, new regulations to the Act on the conditions of admissibility of entrusting work to foreigners in the territory of the Republic of Poland (in force since 1 June 2025) will come into effect, replacing the previously applicable implementing acts:

Data: 08.05.2025Beware of fake emails – stay alert!

We've recently seen new cases of individuals pretending to be employees of the Department for Foreigners at the Wielkopolska Voivodeship Office in Poznań. They're sending fake emails claiming there are issues with residence applications or offering refunds — all in an attempt to steal personal information, financial details, or money. 

These messages often come from unofficial email addresses and look like they're from our office or the Voivode of Wielkopolska.

Data: 20.09.2024 Important Updates to the Residence Application Process

To streamline the process for submitting applications for temporary residence, permanent residence, and EU long-term resident status, new rules for scheduling appointments at the Department for Foreigners will take effect from October 1 of this year.

Starting October 1, all applications must be submitted by mail to the Department for Foreigners in Poznań or at one of our regional offices. Applications must be submitted no later than the last day of the foreigner’s legal stay in Poland.
