You can apply for a temporary residence permit on behalf of each family member who would like to reunite with you, but stays outside the territory of Poland, if you hold one of the entry and stay titles below:

  • a permanent residence permit,
  • a residence permit for long-term EU resident,
  • a refugee status,
  • a subsidiary protection,
  • at least for a period of 2 years on the basis of subsequent temporary residence permits, including immediately before submitting an application for a temporary residence permit for a family member - on the basis of a permit granted to him for a period of stay of not less than 1 year,
  • a temporary residence permit, to conduct scientific research,
  • a temporary residence permit granted for the purpose of conducting scientific research, if the foreigner has a residence permit referred to in art. 1 clause 2 lit. a Council Regulation No. 1030/2002, bearing the annotation "scientist", issued by another Member State of the European Union, if the agreement on the admission of a foreigner for the purpose of carrying out a research project concluded with the competent scientific unit of that country provides for conducting scientific research also in the territory of the Republic of Poland,
  • a temporary residence permit in order to perform work in a profession requiring high qualifications,
  • a temporary residence permit granted for the purpose of performing work under an intra-corporate transfer,
  • a temporary residence permit granted in order to use long-term mobility,
  • a residence permit for humanitarian reasons.

Written consent is required to submit an application on behalf of a family member residing outside Poland.

If this is your first temporary residence card, your wife will not have the annotation “access to the labour market” placed in her card. Such annotation can only be placed in her card, if you have been staying in Poland for at least 2 years, on the basis of consecutive temporary residence permits and, before you wife applies for her residence permit, you have been granted a residence permit for the period of a stay not shorter than 1 year.

INTERNSHIP/VOLUNTEERING

You are obliged to inform the appropriate province governor that granted the temporary residence permit, that the reasons for granting permit no longer apply, that you terminated your internship. Your residence permit will be revoked and your residence card will be annulled. You will be oblige to leave Poland within 30 days following the day, when the decision on revocation of the permit has become final. If you want to stay in Poland, and you are not entitled to stay in Poland on different basis (e.g. valid visa), apply for another temporary residence permit according to your purpose of stay before or during the proceedings on revocation of the permit.

The proceedings should be terminated within 60 days. The 60 days is counted from the day when application is complete. If the application is not accompanied by all of the necessary documents, the 60 days term is suspended until you submit all necessary documents to the ongoing proceedings.

The temporary residence permit for an intern can be granted for the period necessary for execution of the contract, which is the basis for your internship, but no longer than for the period of 6 months. Subsequent permit can be granted only once and for the period necessary for execution of the contract regarding internship, but no longer than 6 months.

You can apply for the temporary residence permit for an intern if you graduated from university not later than within 2 years directly prior to submitting the application or if you are a student at the university located outside the European Union.
