Suspension of processing applications for the financial assistance for holders of the Pole's Card

21.01.2021

The Minister of the Interior and Administration suspended the examination of applications for the financial assistance for holders of the Pole's Card (Karta Polaka) settling in Poland, which were submitted from 20 January 2021. After increasing the special-purpose reserve for the payouts of financial assistance for holders of the Pole's Card settling in Poland, applications submitted from 20 January 2021 will be considered.

New legal provisions on UK nationals and their family members resience rights

From the beginning of 2021, citizens of the United Kingdom and their family members living in Poland will be able to submit applications for new residence documents. New legal provisions have been introduced with the Act of December 10, 2020, amending the Act on entry into the territory of the Republic of Poland, stay and departure from this territory, of citizens of the Member States of the European Union and members of their families (Journal of Laws item 2369).

Brexit – stay of UK nationals after the transition period

From the beginning of 2021, citizens of the United Kingdom and their family members living in Poland will be able to submit applications for new residence documents. These new documents will confirm the use of rights of the beneficiary of the Withdrawal Agreement when crossing the borders and during the stay in Poland.

End of the transition period

After the end of the transition period, from 1 January 2021, the United Kingdom citizens and their family members will, as a general rule, have the right to stay in Poland under the current conditions, if:

Customer service from the 16th of Nov till 20th - online reservations previously cancelled

Please be informed, that customers with online reservations for visits - both in Poznań and in the branch offices - between 2th of November 2020 to 6th of November 2020 that had been canceled due to the temporary suspension of direct customer service at the Department of Foreigners, are rescheduled to visit the office from the 16th of November 2020 till the 20th of November 2020.  New dates of the visits are as follows:

BREXIT - stay of UK citizens after the transition period

On 1 February 2020, Great Britain left the European Union. According to the EU withdrawal agreement, the so-called transitional period applies. It means that among others the rules for crossing the border and stay of the UK citizens and their family members in Poland will remain unchanged.

Financial assistance for the holders of the Pole's card - reinstatement of processing of applications made from 18.01.2020 to 31.01.2020

31.08.2020

The Minister of the Interior and Administration reinstated processing of applications for financial assistance for the holders of the Pole's card settling in Poland, which were made in the period from 18 January 2020 to 31 January 2020.

THE GOVERNOR OF THE WIELKOPOLSKA PROVINCE

announces,

that the procedural and judicial deadlines for judicial, including judicial, administrative jurisdictional and administrative proceedings, which, during a state of emergency or epidemic declared due to COVID-19, have not started or have been suspended, shall start or continue to run from 24 May 2020.

New regulations relating to changes in the working conditions of foreigners due to the COVID-19
